Inshore Fishing Charters, St. Marks to Apalachicola
Full day private charters on Apalachee Bay, the Forgotten Coast, and Apalachicola Bay.
The Water
This is the Big Bend and the Forgotten Coast, the least crowded inshore water in Florida. Miles of grass flats, oyster bars, spartina creeks, and river mouths, and most days you will not see another boat. We run out of the St. Marks area and fish from the Aucilla and Econfina rivers west through Ochlockonee Bay, Alligator Point, St. Teresa, Lanark, Carrabelle, Dog Island, and St. George Island to Apalachicola Bay, picking the water by the wind and the tide that day.
Redfish
The fish this coast is known for. Tailing reds on the flats in low water, schools pushing bait on the bars in the fall, and bull reds on the outside in late summer. Live shrimp, pinfish, gold spoons, soft plastics, or a fly if that is your game.
Speckled Trout
Grass flats in three to six feet from spring through fall, deeper holes and creek mouths when it turns cold. Popping corks and live shrimp, topwater at first light.
Tarpon
Summer fish along the beaches, passes, and river mouths from June into September. Sight fished on calm mornings with live bait or big flies. Not a numbers game, but when it happens you will not forget it.
Tripletail
Sight fished on crab trap floats, channel markers, and floating grass from late spring through fall. Live shrimp on a light rod. Some of the best eating on the coast.
Cobia, Spanish, Flounder, Sheepshead, Black Drum
Cobia and Spanish mackerel come through in the spring and fall runs. Flounder on the sand and mud edges, hook and line or gigging at night. Sheepshead and black drum stack up on rocks, docks, and oyster bars in the winter.
Bass on Seminole and Talquin
Trophy largemouth on Lake Seminole and Lake Talquin with wild shiners or topwater, and the North Florida rivers in between.
What to Expect
Rods, reels, tackle, bait, ice, and a Florida saltwater fishing license for everyone aboard are covered. Bring food and drinks, sunscreen, polarized glasses, a hat, and rain gear in summer. We clean and bag your catch at the dock. Kids and first timers are welcome, and so are fly rods.
Rates
$800 is the standard trip rate — inshore fishing, duck, gator or a cast and blast.
That is the baseline, not a hard number. It can run less or more depending on what you need, how much time we are on the water, and what we are after. Call or text Capt. Mike at 850-528-7012 for a quote on your trip.
Booking
Charters are full day only. A half day on this coast means leaving fish on the table, and we do not run them. We do not combine parties, your group fishes together and only your group. Call for dates and pricing, or send a booking request.
